GRANTEE COMMUNITY IMPACT
The Fargo Family Foundation has thoroughly enjoyed providing multiple organizations with grants to help them achieve their charitable goals and positively impact their communities. Below is a sampling of how previous grant recipients have used the funds received from the Fargo Family Foundation.
Family Promise of Hunterdon County
This organization offers a sustainable housing program, which provides housing assistance to homeless individuals who are working towards career and/or educational goals. Using the awarded grant funds, the organization paid a portion of a young single mother’s rent. This assistance enabled the young woman to obtain her Associates degree and continue working towards her Bachelor’s degree, with the ultimate goal being her ability to go from a minimum wage job to a living wage job to support her family.
Upper Black Eddy Fire Company
This organization is a volunteer fire company that serves the Upper Black Eddy community. The grant funds awarded to the Upper Black Eddy Fire Company enabled the organization to update their Breathing Air System to ensure it is safe to operate. This apparatus is used to serve the Upper Black Eddy community as well as surrounding communities.
Hunterdon Prevention Resources
This organization promotes a healthy and drug-free community by providing education, counseling and advocacy to individuals. The grant funds awarded to Hunterdon Prevention Resources were put towards L.E.A.P, the organization’s juvenile diversion program. The grant enabled the organization to hire an additional counselor, provide resources on drug prevention and bullying, and create partnerships with other agencies that offer higher level care.
Chaplain of Hunterdon Medical Center
This organization provides Chaplain services to patients in the Hunterdon Healthcare System. The grant funds awarded to the Chaplain of Hunterdon Medical Center allowed the organization to train two Chaplaincy interns this past year.
